About Shalu
Shalu spends much of her review time asking simple questions. Where did this number come from? Is this the provider’s claim or ours? Would a reader understand the limitation? Are we making something sound more certain than it really is?
That means checking sources and dates, but also reading the article as a person making a career decision. Salary figures need context. If we recommend a course, the drawbacks should be as easy to find as the positives. If we may earn from a link, that relationship should be easy to spot.
What Shalu tends to challenge
- A salary number without the job, source or year it describes
- A provider claim presented as though we verified it independently
- A long skills list with no evidence that employers ask for those skills
- A conclusion that sounds more confident than the research supports
